Jurnee Smollett is the fourth Friday Night Lights veteran to make a guest spot on the NBC series Parenthood. Thanks to show runner Jason Katirns who also worked on the Friday Night Lights, Smollett joins the ranks of Minka Kelly, Michael B. Jordan and Matt Lauria just to name a few.
TV Line confirms that the actress will have a major recurring role in season 5 of family series. She stars as a “smart, feisty, up-and-coming political dynamo” named Heather Hall.
