Tragedy struck the set of Disney’s next blockbuster ‘Lone Ranger’ starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer. The studio issued a statement today confirming that a crew member has died after drowning on the movie’s set. “We regretfully confirm that a Lone Ranger crew member has passed away after being taken to a local hospital. Our hearts and thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues at this time, and our full support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this terrible event.” According to celebrity gossip site TMZ the crew member was a diver who was working in a tank when an accident occurred. 911 one called and when help arrived the man was already in cardiac arrest. The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital by doctors who were unable to resuscitate him. The movie, which is expected to hit theaters next July, is currently filming in Los Angeles, cameras were not rolling at the time of the accident.
