Vampire Diaries Star Candice Accola Engaged To The Fray Guitarist Joseph King

Vampire Diaries’ actress Candice Accola is engaged! The 26-year-old starlet announced that she is planning to marry Joseph King via Instagram on Wednesday, May 29.

Accola posted a photo with the caption “Cheers to the future Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Aaron King” on her Instagram account. In the photo, the actress is shown sporting a fancy diamond ring.  King, 33, is a guitarist for  the rock band The Fray. He followed his fiance’s lead and posted an image of the couple with the caption “She said yes,” and “I’M A LUCKY MAN”. He popped the question while the pair was on a romantic giveaway in Italy. The couple was first spotted together during April.

Co-star, Nina Dobev, was one of the first to congratulate the couple. She tweeted, “DYING RIGHT NOW! SO excited/thrilled/happy/hyperventilating over ur engagement! #matchmadeinheaven. What colors are we thinking for bridesmaids dresses? Because yellow isn’t a good color for me.. :p haha.” Dobev’s love life is going towards the opposite ends of the pole. The actress recently split with longtime boyfriend and fellow Vampire Diaries’ co-star, Ian Somerhalder.

Accola is set to return to the fifth season of Vampire Diaries as vampire Carolina Forbes. The supernatural drama will return to The CW this fall.
