With Angus T. Jones leaving Two and a Half Men, the series is on the search for a new ‘half’. Jones plays Jake Harper, son of Alan Harper, on the CBS sitcom. The series originally featured a cast of father/brother/son trio, but may be adding a daughter in the mix.
According to reports from Deadline, Two and a Half Men will replace Jones with the daughter of the late character, Charlie Harper, once played by Charlie Sheen. Charlie Harper was known as a playboy in the series with several cases of one night stands. Turns out one of them resulted in a daughter who makes her first appearance on the show.
The report claims that the daughter will come back years after the death of Harper looking for her father who was the previous tenant of the home. She will either be in her late teens or early twenties. Her character is reported to make a first appearance on the show when she comes to the door of Walden Schmidt, played by Ashton Kutcher. Ashton Kutcher replaced Sheen in the series as the billionaire roommate. Schmidt purchased the home from the Harper’s, but winds up as their third roommate. The daughter will eventually live with Schmidt and Alan Harper, played by Jon Cryer.
The actress has yet to be casted for the new role. Two and a Half Men is set to air it’s 11th season on CBS this fall.
