Cecil Singleton, the 2nd man to come forward and accuse ‘Elmo’ pupetteer Kevin Clash of sex with a minor, held a press conference yesterday where he revealed that he was “shocked” to discover the Clash worked for Sesame Street.
Singleton told reports that he met Clash on a gay chat line and later spent 2 weeks involved in a sexual relationship with him when he was only 15 years old. Singleton, now 24, said that he only discovered what Clash did for a living many years later when he Googled his name. “I was shocked when I found out what he did for a living,” Singleton told reporters.
Singleton is seeking $5 million in a lawsuit filed this week and his lawyer has reportedly been in touch with two other men who claim that they also engaged in underage sex with Clash. In light of the new allegations, Clash officially resigned from his job on Sesame Street saying he was “deeply sorry to be leaving.”
