Always one to make headlines, Dina Lohan told reporters at a Long Island hotel that Lindsay is so screwed up because she was witness to a violent marriage that included physical abuse and rape while she was growing up. Dina came armed with police and medical reports to back up her claims that her ex, Michael Lohan, was abusive throughout their 22 year marriage. “Lindsay saw her dad abuse me – that’s why she’s so screwed up,” the former dancer told reporters.

Michael was contacted by reporters about the allegation Sunday night, which he called “evil lies” and questioned Dina’s motives in dredging up the past.  He adamantly denies that he was abusive to Dina Lohan during their marriage.

You have to wonder how Lindsay will handle the latest melodrama to unfold around her infamous parents. The troubled young star already has a rough month ahead with court appearances in both New York and Los Angeles and could once again be facing jail time.

Its official, Michael Lohan is indeed the father of 17-year old Ashley Horn. Lohan took a DNA test on ‘The Trisha Goddard Show’ that confirmed what Kristi Horn, Ashley’s mother, already knew. She has been claiming that Michael is the biological father all along despite his refusal to acknowledge his daughter or pay child support. In the dramatic episode airing today, Ashley opens the envelope with the test results as Kristi bursts into tears telling Lohan that “You have another daughter and you missed out on 17 years of her life.” In a moment of television awkwardness, Lohan attempts to hug in new found daughter but Ashley pulls away, telling her father, “This is the first time I’ve met you, I’m sorry, but I’m not sure…” A stoic Michael replies, “It’s OK. Everything in time, honey. Everything will be fine.” No word yet as to how Lindsay is handling the news of a new sister.

Michael Lohan is heading to court, again, and this time he hopes to protect his troubled daughter Lindsay Lohan by getting a conservatorship for her. According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, Lohan fears that his daughter, who has had very public battles with substance abuse, is hanging out with a dangerous crowd, including her mother Dina. For fear of being accused of financial motives, Lohan does not want to be appointed conservator himself, rather he is hoping that the judge will appoint someone to be responsible for Lindsay’s finances, anyone except for her mother that is. Lohan told his lawyer that he also hopes that a conservator will be able to get his daughter back into rehab. He hopes that without negative influences around her that she will be able to focus on her sobriety. He believes that it is the people that she’s been surrounded by that have prevented her from staying clean in the past. Also on the Michael Lohan agenda: family therapy for Dina. Just last week reports emerged that the family matriarch was using cocaine and Michael thinks that getting Dina help will in turn help Lindsay. It’s not all drama and turmoil for Miss Lohan these days, it appears that the actress may be slowly getting her career in forward motion again. Production began early this year on her new idie film The Canyons directed by Bret Ellis and co-starring adult actor James Deen. Lindsay, who hasn’t appeared on the big screen since 2010 in Robert Rodriguez’s film ‘Machete’, will play a former model who hooks up with Deen’s bad boy character. The controversial film will hopefully give Lohan the push she needs to get out of the headlines and back in the film studio until then the family drama seems to continue to unfurl at an alarming rate for the troubled young star.

According to celebrity gossip site TMZ troubled actress Lindsey Lohan is a formal suspect in the robbery last week of the home of Sam Magid where $100,000 worth of jewelry was stolen. The theft was reported after a party that Lohan attended was held at Magid’s Hollywood Hills home. Magid has since recanted his report but police continue their investogation based on the statements of independent witnesses who claim that they saw Lohan and her assistant take the items. Lohan’s father Michael issued a statement claiming that the investigation is a witch hunt against his daughter ” I have evidence, Sam told me that nothing was stolen and Lindsey did nothing the day after the story broke. I have irrefutable proof and witness. No matter what anyone says, I have witness and proof that Sam Magid said nothing was stolen.” Lohan is still on probation from her past runins with the law and could face jail time if she is found in violation of her probation.
