Super model Naomi Campbell mugged in Paris

According to French officials, British super model Naomi Campbell was the subject of an attempted robbery. Campbell was getting into her car in the historic Marais neighborhood when two suspects on motorcycles attempted to steal her purse. The model was reportedly injured in the attack, suffering a torn ligament in her leg.

According to authorities, Campbell filed a police report but refused to seek medical treatment. Campbell’s boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin, immediately flew her home to Vail, Colorado where she reportedly underwent surgery by J. Richard Steadman, one of the country’s top orthopedic surgeons. Naomi has been forced to use a wheelchair or crutches since the ordeal. Campbell has been silent about the attack and when asked about the incident by The Post only said, “I am sorry, I do not talk to press, but I am fine.” It appears that the French authorities have also requested that she not talk about the assault publicly as they continue their ongoing investigation.
