Comedy star Roseanne Barr is set to guest star on NBC’s hit show The Office.
NBC announced the news on Wednesday and said Barr will star as a talent agent named Carla Fern in scenes that are set to start filming on Wednesday. Her character will help office manager Andy Barnard make his dreams of acting in show business come true. Ed Helms is the genius actor behind the Andy character.
Barr will be taking time off from her Las Vegas stand up act to appear on “The Office.” The hit show is in it’s final season, and producer Greg Daniels wants the show to go out with a big band after spending nine years on the air.
“The Office,” adapted from the British series of the same name, ranks among NBC’s most popular shows. Barr knows something about bringing a long-running hit to an end: Her sitcom “Roseanne” aired from 1988 to 1997.
