Oliver Martinez Confirms A Baby Boy With Fiance Halle Berry

Halle Berry and fiance Oliver Martinez are expecting a son! Looks, like Nahla will be a big sister to a baby boy.

On Wednesday, Martinez announced that the couple were expecting a baby boy on the red carpet of the Champs-Elysees Film Festival in Paris where he is serving as the 2013’s honorary president. “My son will be an American, but I remain French,” he said to People Magazine. The actor went on to answer other questions on the red carpet and spoke about his experiences. He continued to discuss the difference between America and France while on the press line. “I’m French – it’s less important,” he said. “Meaning, I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture. I feel good there – but I’m still a foreigner.”

Berry announced her pregnancy in early April, stating that it was a total surprise. She is due sometime this fall. Berry first began dating Martinez in 2010 just a few months after splitting with Canadian model boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry.

In a 2010 interview with Wendy Williams, Berry stated that her daughter would have loved to be a big sister. “That’s the thing. [My daughter is] asking me. Every night we pray to God, and she’s so sweet. She says, ‘God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister.’ And I say, ‘I can do one of those things, I know for sure! The other one we have to keep praying on,'” said Berry. Looks like her prayers have been half answered.

Berry and Martinez became engaged about a year ago. This will be the second child for Berry, who has a 5-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry.
