Miley Cyrus covers the June issue of British ELLE magazine, her first big UK cover shoot. The singer/actress says the publication matches her own personal outlook on fashion and beauty, which is more edgy and alternative.
“ELLE UK is really cool and it is a little different. I think it shows up a different side of style that I feel is really me,” said Miley in a behind-the-scenes video. “It’s a bit punk and a little more edgy. It’s really cool to be able to school this as I haven’t had the chance to do much for the UK like this yet. ELLE is really cool magazine and my first big cover” In the June issue of the mag, Miley has a 10 page spread where she models some of the season’s most iconic pieces, including designers such as Saint Laurent, Fendi, Emilio Pucci and Simone Rocha. On the cover, she rocks a cotton and silk jacked by Lanvin and a Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane gold vermiil pendent.
In the issue, Miley gets personal about her relationship with Liam Hemsworth, and says getting engaged was the natural next step. “We have a house together and dogs. It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed,” said Cyrus. “But we keep our relationship low-key and don’t talk about it anymore.” Recently, the media has gone a buzz that the couple called it quits, but Miley states that it was a conscious effort to be more private. “We were too nice to the world and gave them too much insight — into my life and my puppies and my house – and I just don’t feel like they get that privilege anymore. Like on Twitter, I’m much more ..not conservative, but you don’t see a picture of my dogs. you don’t get that personal stuff anymore.”
The issue hits newsstands May 1.
