Django Unchained co-stars Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio reunite on the big screen for a new project. This time around, the two return for a cop drama.
Mean Business on North Georgia Street will follow two police officers as they partner up try and solve a series of attacks against the police department in a Missouri town. The two detectives then become targets themselves and have to take on the criminals before its too late, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The film will be based on the upcoming crime novel by S. Craig Zahler, who will also write the script. There has yet to be a director announced, but DiCaprio will also take on the role as a producer of the film with his Appian Way production partner Jennifer Davisson Killoran.
Django Unchained received many accolade for the performances of Jamie Foxx, Leanardo DiCaprio, Christopher Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson. The Quentin Tarantino film received Oscar nods for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor, which Waltz won, Cinematography, and more.
The announcement of the Foxx and DiCaprio collaboration comes on the same day as Foxx’s new film White House Down with Channing Tatum. The film has received poor reviews so far, but hopes to rake in with the onscreen collab of the two big named actors.
