Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris: The wedding is back on!

It was only a year and a half ago that Crystal Harris famously called off her wedding to the 86 year-old Playboy tycoon, Hugh Hefner but now Harris says she is ready to commit and the two are expected to head down the aisle New Year’s Eve.

In June of 2011, Harris called off the engagement just 5 days before the big wedding but a year later rekindled the romance, moving back into the mansion earlier this year. The blond 26 year-old has said that she needed that time apart and that it taught her “how to be independent and stand on her own two feet.”

The two are planning a very private and intimate event for the New Year. They plan on saying “I do” in the mansion, surrounded only be their closest of friends and family. Hefner says that the reconciliation comes as no surprise to him, taking to Twitter to say: “Getting back together with Crystal Harris shouldn’t be such a big surprise, since I have a history of remaining close to former girlfriends. Crystal was miserable & said so.” Meanwhile, Hefner’s ex, Holly Madison is pregnant with her first child.
