Reminiscent of the first trailer of “The Social Network”, Sony reenlists Scala & Kolacny Brothers for the final “Zero Dark Thirty” trailer.
The final trailer for the Kathryn Bigelow’s critical favorite features the Scala & Kolacny Brothers’ cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” behind the riveting images from the film. The song, appropriately used, expresses CIA analyst Maya’s, played by Jessica Chatiain, tenacity to do anything to find Osama Bin Laden. “Zero Dark Thirty” tells the story of the capturing of bin Laden in the viewpoint of Maya, done so in an intriguing fashion. Sony’s choice of music does a great job at connecting “The Social Network” with “Zero Dark Thirty”.
The film chronicles the 10 year man hunt for Osama bin Laden after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 to his capture by the Navy S.E.A.L.s in May of 2011. “Zero Dark Thirty” will be released in limited showing on December 19. The film will open nationwide on January 11, 2013.
