The premiere is still 4 days away but that is not deterring die-hard “Twilight” fans from heading down to Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre to set up camp in anticipation of the big day. Starting Thursday morning fans began setting up camp, packing in tents and sleeping bags and Summit Entertainment, the studio that produces the series, is expecting as many as 2,000 people in the makeshift tent city by Tuesday. Promoters are taking advantage of the gathering to hold special events such as an exercise class led by a banana-suit wearing instructor and a Thursday morning screening of ‘Twilight.” Despite the difficulties presented by urban camping the fans appear to be having a great time. Superfan Mary Lou Micco emailed MTV to say: “Things have been great so far. Everyone that I have talked to seems to be happy with the way things were handled with check-in. I am sitting here watching work out session and it’s really something! Watching ‘Twilight’ in the middle of the Nokia Plaza last night was amazing! I can’t even describe the feeling when you are watching it with people who love it as much as you do.”
“Breaking Dawn Part 2” is the fifth and final installment of the “Twilight” series and fans are sad to be saying goodbye to their beloved characters. The actors are also having bittersweet feelings as they part ways with their “Twilight” counterparts. Kristen Stewart, who stars as Bella Swan, has expressed her eagerness to put “Twilight” madness behind her. For Taylor Lautner, who stars as teen werewolf Jacob, letting go has been a little harder. The actor recently said: “For me, it will be tough to say goodbye to spending time with the people that I love. We’ve grown so close over the past few years. Our relationship will go on past this but to not have that excuse to spend day after day together while filming or promoting will be different.”
