Fall Out Boy is back! After a three year hiatus, the boys have gotten back together to release a new single for their new album and tour!
Due to the pressures from fame, Fall Out Boy fell out as their last album” Folie a Duex” touched on the theme of the perils of fame. When the band announced their hiatus in November of 2009, bassist Pete Wentz felt like it was his fault. Due to his high profile relationship with Ashlee Simpson, Wentz felt like the media attention was taking away the light from the band. “I think the world needs a little less Pete Wentz. A lot of people think Fall Out Boy is me. But it’s the four of us. I want to f—king vomit when I read intros that say, ‘Pete Wentz: accidental internet poster boy.’ It makes me feel ugly,” explained Wentz.
Since then, Wentz has divorced Simpson and all attention has been devoted to the band. Fall Out Boy took the stage at The Studio at Webster Hall in New York on Tuesday night performing in front of an intimate crowd of 300 to 400 die hard fans. The reunion was announced on Monday as well as information on the release of their forthcoming album entitled “Save Rock and Roll” in May. They released a new single that will kick off three intimate shows in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles this week. Tuesday night, they rocked through a 90 minute set list including fan favorite “Sugar, We’re Going Down”.
Post hiatus Fall Out Boy is back with a vengeance and ready to take the music industry by storm.
