This year has been amazing not just for hip hop but for music in general. A lot of big names have dropped their projects, and the hip hop world was set ablaze by the Kendrick, J. Cole, and Drake beef. It’s been a good year for music fans, but it ain’t over yet.

It seems like 2024 has been blessed by the music gods, as it just keeps on giving. Here are the five most anticipated album releases of 2024!

A$AP Rocky is gearing up to release his brand new album, which is probably already done by now. In a social media video a few weeks ago, Rocky was seen holding the vinyl for the album, which means it’s likely done and set to release. And yes, we do have a release date: August 30th! Yes, Drake. And I know he just dropped a very lengthy album recently, but we’ve gotten a new Drake record almost every year for the past few years, so what’s different about 2024? Drake might release something this fall. He really needs to take control of the discourse surrounding him, as Kendrick has done some serious damage to his image during their beef.

3: Ice Spice

Ice Spice blew up and is now one of the biggest female rappers in the game. She currently seems like she’s leading the charge. Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and Megan Thee Stallion look uninteresting at the moment, which gives Ice Spice the opportunity to go even bigger with a full-length album!

2: J. Cole
