Britney Spears turns 31

It’s Britney B!*@h. The Pop icon celebrated her 31st birthday on December 2nd. With the success she’s seen this year, the singer definitely has a lot to celebrate.

Well wishes came from Ms. Spears celebrity friends including “X Factor” co-host Khloe Kardashian. “Happy Birthday pop princess Britney Spears,” Kardashian told MTV News. “I think you’re phenomenal and amazing and I wish you many, many more.”

Just last year, Spear’s longtime boyfriend and former agent, Jason Trawick, made it official and popped the question with a four carat, round-cut diamond ring. You can spot the hunk in the steamy “Criminal” video.

On top of that, the pop star signed a $15 million contract to join the judging  panel on the “X Factor” alongside newcomer Demi Lovato and music veterans L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell. “Just really being able to be there and inspire the other contestants ..they’re trying to fulfill their dreams,” Spears said about the show. “It’s just a beautiful concept. It’s just really cool.” Spears acts a mentor to the teen group of the singing competition and has two contestants, Diamond White and front runner Carly Rose Sonenclar, who still have a chance at the $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music.

To wrap up the year, Ms. Spears has released new music alongside Black Eyed Pea’s will.i.am entitled “Scream and Shout” that landed on the top spot of the iTunes single chart. This year has been good to Britney to the point where we almost forget about that whole 2007 thing. We love that she’s back on top!
