“Army” Dawn Richard’s Newest Release

Dawn Richard, former member of Sean “Diddy” Comb’s disbanded girl group Danity Kane, has now released a new track entitled “Army” from her much anticipated solo sophomore album “Blackheart”. This new track was self-written and then produced by Kev The Writer. The theme of self-assertion and strength is sure to inspire plenty of heart-broken, but strong women everywhere.

What embodies pure strength more than the visual of “building an army”? The vocals seem reminiscent of early Kelly Rowland days, but Dawn still brings her own style and image to the scene. Despite the strong theme, the mood of the track is still very chill. If this latest release is any indication of what is to come, then I think we will be pleasantly surprised to see what else she can bring to R&B.
