Alex O’Loughlin Welcomes baby boy

It’s a boy! Hawaii Five-O actor Alex O’Loughlin confirmed today that his girlfriend, surfer turned model Malia Jones, has given birth to their first child together. The couple has yet to reveal details about their new addition but it appears that all is well for the handsome couple. While this is their first child together, both have children from previous relationships, O’Loughlin has a 15 year old son named Saxon and Jones has a 3 year old named Spike. The two first went public with their relationship at the 9^th Annual G’day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala last January in Hollywood and E! News announced the pregnancy back in August.

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing for the Australian born hunk. O’Loughlin spent some time in rehab earlier this year to deal with a dependency on prescription pain killers, The actor took a short hiatus from his role as Lt. Commander Stephen J McGarrett after an onset injury in season 2 left him dependent on drugs to get through the demands of his grueling schedule. The actor was back in record time however and he seems happier and healthier than ever. These days he’s drug free and as happy with his home life as he is with the new directions that his hit TV show is taking. Not only is his real life family growing, with the birth of his son, but his TV family has expanded this season as well. Lt. McGarrett has discovered that his mother, who be believed to have been murdered, is alive and well and living in Hawaii and his onscreen romance with Michelle Borth is getting hotter than ever. Still the character closest to McGarrett remains his crime fighting partner Danno played by veteran actor Scott Caan. O’Loughlin jokes that their pairing “is like a good marriage.”
