Alec Baldwin’s Explicit Twitter Rant

Alec Baldwin took to Twitter to release some anger after a British journalist accused his wife of tweeting during James Gandolfini’s funeral. He went on a multiple tweet tirade, but deactivated his Twitter right after.

A writer from the British Daily Mail accused Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria, of posting to her Twitter page during the funeral service of the late actor, James Gandolfini. Baldwin quickly defended his wife through an explicit rant. “My wife and I attend a funeral to pay our respects to an old friend, and some  toxic Brit writes this f****king trash,” the actor tweeted. The tweets were captured in a screen shot, but his page has been deactivated. He added, “My wife DID NOT use her phone, in any capacity, at our friends funeral. Now. f***k this twitter + good luck to all you who know the truth.”

Hilaria is pregnant with the couple’s first child. She also took to Twitter to share her side of the story. “I hope this reporter knows how much pain and drama he has caused for his poor journalism. Lying and bullying are shameful.” She claims that a feature of the social media site caused the confusion. “When someone tweets something at a certain time, and you retweet it later, it posts the TIME the first person tweeted.”
