The daughter of Anna Nicole Smith, DannieLynn just might be left with a huge fortune. A federal judge has ruled this week that the six year old may be entitled to a hefty amount of $49 million due to the sanctions from the estate of Smith’s ex husband J. Howard Marshall.
The judge stated that there was “massive discovery abuse” within E. Pierce Marshall, the son J. Howard Marshall, legal battle against the late model. The judge has ordered that the estate to pay as a punishment.
There has been allegations that Marshall’s estate lawyers tried to delay the former case by “shipping crucial legal documents to a lawyer in Lake Charles, La. to try and keep them out of the hands of Smith’s lawyers,” reports Forbes.
For many years, representatives of Anna Nicole Smith has been trying to recover hundreds of millions from the Marshall estate, which is estimated to be close to $1 billion. At the time of his passing, J Howard Marshall did not include Anna Nicole Smith in his will.
“This is a complete vindication of Anna Nicole’s rights, and a total condemnation of what was done to her,” said Phil Boesch, lawyer of Smith’s estate. “We are confident that the amount Anna’s estate and daughter Dannielynn will finally be awarded will be fair and substantial.”
Anna Nicole Smith passed away in 2007 due to a drug overdose.
