Mariah Carey Let’s Randy Jackson Go As Her Manager

Mariah Carey has dropped fellow judge Randy Jackson as manager. Jackson helped Carey nab the “American Idol” gig with a extravagant amount of $18 million.

Mariah Carey met Randy Jackson in the 1990’s when he was an A&R at Columbia Records. Showbiz411 reports that the pair has gone their separate ways after rumors of disagreements and feuds.

Carey recently released a new single entitled “#Beautiful” and signed a contract with Red Light Management, which also represents artists such as Faith Hill, Alicia Keys, and RadioHead. Showbiz411 states that “hectic” schedules was the reason behind her departure from Jackson who has been managing her since 2011.

Randy Jackson has worked with Mariah Carey throughout her career. In 2011, he produced two of the songs on the soundtrack for the flub “Glitter” in which she starred in. Jackson and Carey did not seem to show any hostility on air. They’ve shared no drama on “American Idol”, unlike Carey’s feud with Nicki Minaj.

It’s unsure if the pair will be working on endeavor in the future. Carey, however, has been quite busy with the release of her first single off of her 14th studio album. The track, “#Beautiful” features Miguel. Mariah Carey is also set to appear in Lee Daniel’s upcoming film “The Butler”. She worked with Daniel’s before with her role in “Precious”.
