Its official, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is pregnant and Buckingham Palace has confirmed the happy news. The world has been on baby bump alert since the moment the young royal couple exchanged vows in April of 2011 and now it seems that all the rumors and false alarms can finally be laid to rest.
Unfortunately for the young Duchess, she has been diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum, a rare pregnancy related illness that causes severe morning sickness-like symptoms. Middleton was admitted into King Edward VII Hospital today to receive treatment for the illness. The Duchess was visiting at her parent’s home when she fell ill and was taken straight to the hospital where she was joined by her husband Prince William. She is expected to remain in the hospital for several more days. It could be a tough 9 months for Middleton as the symptoms of her illness, which include severe nausea, last throughout the entire pregnancy.
