World War Z

With so many eyeballs watching the big game this weekend, more and more people are tuning in just to see the commercials. So it makes sense that Paramount would release the trailer for their World War Z while everyone is watching.

The SuperBowl trailer for World Wart Z has Brad Pitt and his family smack dab in the middle of a global zombie catastrophe, and they’re doing everything they can to make it out. As we learned in the first trailer released, these sprinting, climbing dead are unlike any of the zombies you’ve seen in recent years. But people in the World War Z don’t call whatever is chasing them “zombies.”

Director Marc Forster told MTV News almost a year and a half ago that his version of zombies wouldn’t be your typical reanimated corpse.

“In Max Brook’s book they move in the George Romero fashion. I feel like we have a little bit different approach,” he said. “But it doesn’t exclude that they might not eventually be fashioned how George Romero’s zombies move, it’s just a little bit different approach. I think that will probably be the biggest discussions that there will be.”
