He may not have won the NBA Finals, but Tony Parker is celebrating his engagement. The Spurs player is getting married for the second time around to French journalist, Axelle Francine.
Tony Parker was once married to Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria. The pair married in 2007, with Longoria even getting his basketball number tatted on her. They divorced in 2010 after rumors emerged that the NBA player was being unfaithful. The divorce was finalized in 2011 and he began dating Francine in February of 2012.
Parker announced his engagement while tweeting fans during a chat hosted by Switch watch maker Tissot. Parker was asked what he likes to do to unwind. He answered, “Spend time with my fiance. #TissotTimeout.” The news comes just days after the NBA player was spotted shopping for engagement rings.
Parker and the Spurs were defeated in the NBA finals against the Miami Heat. The Spurs, however, put up a huge fight with major wins including one in the double digits. It came down to game 7, as the Heat closed out the series 95-88. Longoria continued to show her support of the Spurs, despite being divorced from Parker. Axelle seems to be just as supportive of Parker’s basketball career. She was spotted last month all the way in Memphis when the team took on the Grizzlies.
