There were two big announcements in the entertainment world this week. Everyone’s favorite funny ladies Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been slated to host this year’s Golden Globes and mega-diva Beyonce will be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show.
This isn’t the first collaboration for Fey and Poehler, aside from both enjoying successful runs of NBC’s Saturday Night Live the two worked together on the movies ‘Mean Girls’ and ‘Baby Mama.’ On January 13th the pair will take the stage at the 70th annual Golden Globes taking over for Ricky Gervais, who hosted the show the last three years in a row.
Two weeks later, on February 3rd, Beyonce will grace the stage at the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show. The official announcement won’t be made until tomorrow but the Associated Press was able to get the inside scoop from a source today. Last year’s show featured not only Madonna, but guest appearances by M.I.A., LMFAO and Nicki Minaj.
