Oprah Winfrey has landed in a bit of hot water after her cable television network, OWN, got sued by a former executive.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, a former employee by the name of Carolyn Hommel sued OWN network, claiming she was subjected to sex and pregnancy discrimination while she worked there. Hommel was hired by OWN network in 2010 as a senior director of scheduling and acquisitions, but had to take a medical leave due to being pregnant. The company hired a temporary employee and then Hommel a month after she gave birth. She is now suing OWN for an undisclosed amount.

Oprah is no stranger to litigation. The talk show queen has been involved in lawsuits brought about by people ranging from former employees to beef producers who claimed she cost them $12 million after a show on mad cow disease.

Their candid chat will not air until Thursday but a source close to the show has revealed that Lance Armstrong admitted to using performance enhancing drugs to Oprah Winfrey.

It’s been a rough few months for Armstrong who was first accused of doping and later stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and banned from professional cycling for life. Due to the scandal, Armstrong was forced to step down from his role with his cancer charity the Livestrong Foundation. Before sitting down with the talk show legend yesterday Armstrong spoke with his Livestrong staff, apologizing for all of the stress he has put them under and encouraging them to keep up the good work.

After yesterday’s interview Oprah took to Twitter to say, “Just wrapped with @lancearmstong More than 2 ½ hours. He came READY!” Armstrong had apparently said in regards to the interview. “I told her to go wherever she wants and I’ll answer the questions directly, honestly and candidly. That’s all I can say.”

Former Tour de France champion cyclist Lance Armstrong sat down for a heart to heart interview with Oprah Winfrey today but first he addressed his Livestrong Foundation staffers in Austin, Texas to apologize for his recent fall from grace.

Rae Bazzarre, who is the foundation’s Director of Communications and External Affairs said that  Armstrong, “offered a sincere and heartfelt apology for the stress [the Livestrong staff has] endured because of him and urged them to keep up the great work fighting for people affected by cancer.”

Last October, Armstrong was forced to step down as Livestrong’s chairman after doping allegation caused him to lose his 7 tour de France victories and be banned from professional cycling for life. Throughout it all Armstrong still maintains that he is innocent and has never used performance enhancing drugs. His Oprah Winfrey interview is scheduled to air on Thursday where he will be once again forced to confront the allegations that ruined his career.
