So artist Christopher Stoll has created a new collection where he re-imagines Disney Princesses as The Avengers.

The series is not yet complete but what he has so far is pretty cool.

Pocahontas as Captain America.

I think this is so fitting. I mean, she’s Native American so she technically she was an American first.

Jasmine as Iron Man

The image is great, that goes without saying but I don’t really get the correlation between the two. Jasmine isn’t anything like him but the painting is great.

Snow White as Hulk

This seems a bit out there unless he’s referring to the Snow White character in Shrek. She definitely seemed to have a bit of an anger issue.

Mulan as Hawkeye

I like this one too but personally I think I would have chosen Meredith from Brave for Hawkeye and given Mulan the Iron Man position. Towards the end of the movie Mulan took on a leadership role much like Iron Man does and I think Meredith is pretty self-explanatory.

The Sultan as Black Widow

Okay so he’s not a princess however this painting cracked me up. I never knew the Sultan had all that under his clothes.

He hasn’t done anything else yet but I am really REALLY hoping he paints Princess Kida as Thor.

Yes, she became a queen at the end of Atlantis so technically she’s not a princess anymore but neither is the Sultan. I can’t think of a better pairing. She is from “another world” and she has control over an energy source, it’s perfect really. She also whops a mean punch.

As the paintings are completed, I will do my best to post them.

It was an action packed list today, as the nominees for the upcoming People’s Choice Awards were announced. “The Avengers” beat out several other action films for most nominations, while “The Voice” judge and Maroon 5 lead singer, Adam Levine dominated the music and television categories.

The awards ceremony is set for January 9^th and will kick off the awards season in Hollywood leading up to the Academy Awards at the end of February.

“The Avengers” picked up 8 nominations, among which were; favorite action movie, favorite movie and individual nominations for Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Ann Hathaway and Scarlett Johansson.

Other movies up against “The Avengers” include action movies “The Amazing Spider-Man” and “The Dark Knight Rises” and the fantasy films “Snow White and the Huntsman” and “The Hunger Games.”

“Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was released too late to be eligible this year but fans of the movie franchise picked up a nomination for favorite movie fan following.

Adam Levine picked up 6 nominations for both his television work and his musical achievements with band Maroon 5.

On the strength of Disney’s latest blockbuster, Avengers, the companies earnings rose 31 percent, exceeding Wall Street expectations, boosted by higher spending at theme parks and their latest blockbuster. The companies income rose 24 percent to $1.8 billion at the end of the third quarter. “The Avengers” which has already brought in $1.4 billion in worldwide sales helped to boost the company’s third quarter profits to $313 million over $49 million just a year ago. Chief Executive Bob Iger announced the company had signed a deal with “Avengers” director Joss Whedon to write and direct an “Avengers” sequel, and to help develop a Marvel-based TV series for the ABC broadcast network. Disney “showed great momentum across all their business lines,” said Lazard Capital Markets analyst Barton Crockett, who rates Disney a “buy.” “I thought it was a great quarter.”
