Actress Emma Stone and Comedian Seth McFarlane are set to host the unveiling of the nominees for the 85th Annual Academy Awards on Thursday. This is the first time since 1972 that an Academy Award host has participated in the nominations announcement. Charles Heston is the only other host, besides McFarlane to have participated in the revealing of the nominees.
Seth McFarlane and Stone will announce the nominees from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills, California starting at 8:30 am EST, 5:30am PT. The announcement will be broadcasted live on CBSNews.com via webcast.
Stone has made quite a wave starring in films such as “The Help”, “Easy A”, “Crazy, Stupid, Love”, and “The Amazing Spider-Man”. She will be seen next in the film “Gangster Squad” which arrives in theaters later this month. McFarlane, the creator of “Family Guy” and “American Dad” was announced as the host in October, which will make his second time the funny man has hosted the show.

The Academy Awards will air on Sunday, February 24 from the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center in Los Angeles, California. The event will be broadcasted live on the ABC network.
