Ron Palillo dead at 63

Ron Palillo, best know for playing the role of Arnold Horshak on the 70’s hit show “Welcome Back Kotter” died suddenly this morning at his home in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. According to the Palm Beach Post the actor was not known to be suffering from any illness and had spent the past three years teaching acting for film and camera at a charter school for the arts. Palillo also penned a play called “The Lost Boy” and appeared in several theater performances including “Hot l Baltimore.” Tweets have been pouring in from celebs who wish to pay their regards to the late actor including “RIP Ron Palillo-Horshack” from Richard Prior’s daughter Rain Pryor who said “I used to impersonate him on stage when my dad or mom performed stand up. I was 5.” Non-celebrities have also taken to social media today to bid a fond farewell to the 70’s icon.
