Country singer, Miranda Lambert, has a few words about Chris Brown and is not afraid to say them. Lambert has no intentions of retracting her comments made last year about the R&B singer over his 2009 domestic abuse towards his on again, off again girlfriend Rihanna.

At the 2012 Grammy Awards, Lambert tweeted “He beat on a girl. not cool that we act like that didn’t happen,” following Brown’s performance. Lambert did not agree with the Grammy’s decision to to let Brown perform only three years after he scrapped an appearance on the awards show following the altercation with Rihanna. In Redbook Magazine, the country singer defended her words saying, “I didn’t feel right about not saying something. The loudmouth that I am, I say what I think.” Adding, “I wanted everyone to know that I didn’t agree with the message it’s sending to young women.”

Lambert, who is married to The Voice judge Blake Shelton, thinks it’s not alright for the R&B singer to be “celebrated” after the altercation. “It’s not okay. At all. To be celebrated after doing something like that. I don’t think it’s right, I never will, and I will stand by what I said till the day I die”
