Pop star Lady Gaga has canceled the rest of her Born This Way tour due to a hip injury she suffered while performing a short while ago. Live Nation Global Touring sent out a statement on Wednesday that said Lady Gaga has a tear in her right hip that will require her to undergo surgery, followed by a short period of rest and recovery.
Lady Gag’s website showed that she had 21 tour dates left on her “Born This Way Ball” tour schedule that she will no longer be able to complete. Fans of Mother Monster who have already bought tickets to her show will receive a full refund starting Thursday.
This news comes after Lady Gaga already postponed four tour dates on Tuesday after having trouble performing during her concert in Montreal on Monday. She took to her Twitter account to explain to her fans that she had actually injured herself a while ago.
She wrote: “I hid it from my staff, I didn’t want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can’t.” The tour, in support of her second album “Born This Way,” began last April in Asia and was one of 2012’s highest grossing.
