Kris Allen Injured In Car Crash

American Idol winner Kris Allen was in a head on collision car crash on New Year’s Day. Allen, his wife Kathy, and dog Zorro were all in the car. Kris suffered a broken arm, Kathy suffered a few injuries, and their dog was fine.

This was  a fine time for Allen to announce that his wife was pregnant, tweeting “Yes, I got ina really bad wreck tonight and yes I’m having a lil baby. #gonnabeadaddy.” Kris also tweeted, “Thank you @Ford for equipping me with a car that kept my whole family safe ..and the little one we have on the way safe”, suggesting that no harm was done to the unborn child. It’s unsure how far a long Kathy is in the pregnancy.

Allen’s mom tweeted her son in a neck brace, nursing his arm with caption “From Kris: hes in a lot of pain, arm broke, may not play guitar for a while. Prayers welcome please.” She added, “Kristopher and Kathy are both beat up but ALIVE!. Allen reassured fans that his injuries would not interfere with his upcoming tour.

Allen remains optimistic and hopes for a speedy recovery.
