Kirk Cameron, best known for his role in Growing Pains, has a new film coming out. The now popular Christian actor is being blocked by Facebook to promote his latest project, Unstoppable, due to the movie looking too “spammy”.
Cameron may not be able to promote on Facebook, but that won’t stop him from spreading the word about not being able to push his movie. He wrote, “Calling all friends of Faith, Family, and Freedom! Facebook has officially ‘blocked’ me and you (and everyone else) from posting any link to my new movie at UnstoppableTheMovieDOTcom, labeling the content as ‘abusive’, ‘unsafe’, and ‘spammy’!” Unstoppable is the follow up to Cameron’s “record-breaking, one-night theatrical event, Monumental.”
Cameron continues, “We have been officially shut down by Facebook and unable to get any response from them. This is my most personal film about faith, hope, and love and about why God allows bad things to happen to good people. What is ‘abusive’ or ‘unsafe’ about that?! Please help us encourage Facebook to unblock our website soon by sharing this post with your friends so more people can see this transparent, faith-building project.”
Kirk Cameron rose to fame in the 1980’s from his role as Michael Seaver on Growing Pains. He is now a well known evangelist and Christian producer.
