Kerry Washington Secretly Marries 49ers Nnamdi Asomugha

Kerry Washington shocks us just as much as her character Olivia Pope does on Scandal. The actor has secretly wedded 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on June 24 in Hailey, Idaho.

Many websites have reported the marriage of including gossip website TerezOwens.com. The site wrote “just received news” of the pairs nuptials. E! Online and Us Weekly quickly followed to confirm the story. Washington and Asomugha filed for a marriage license in Idaho. “It has been recorded in the Blaine County clerk’s office that Nnamdi Asomugha and Kerry Washington have been married on the 24th of June in the town of Hailey, Idaho,” said a representative for the clerk’s office to Us Weekly.

The ceremony was very lowkey with Washington’s mother and father as the witnesses. This is the first marriage for the Scandal star, but was linked to ex-fiance David Moscow, who split in 2007.

The pair have reportedly been dating since the summer of 2012. Both parties have yet to confirm their marriage or have spoken to the media. Asomugha will play his first season with the San Francisco 49ers who recently played in the 2013 Superbowl. Washington can be seen on the big screen and small screen in her hit role as Olivia Pope in the ABC series, Scandal.
