Kelly Rowland recently released her latest single entitled “Dirty Laundry”, a revealing record about an abusive relationship and her jealousy towards the post Destiny Child’s success of Beyonce.
Kelly Rowland spoke with Washington, DC radio station 93.9 WKYS and said that Beyonce and Michelle had positive responses to the record. Rowland told the radio station that Beyonce said she “never left” despite how the singer felt about their relationship. “She heard how I was and was like ‘I’m so proud of you’,” shared Kelly.
“Dirty Laundry”, a collaboration with The Dream, gave insight on Kelly’s experiences, sharing her animosity towards Beyonce after Destiny Child broke up, brought on by an verbal and physically abusive relationship. Kelly assures that the former band members have a close bond now. “What matters to me the most right now is what we have. I love her and Michelle more than anything. They mean the world to me. I’m so grateful for what we have as sister’s away from Destiny’s Child.”
Recently, the trio have been making more appearances together. Earlier this year, Destiny’s Child reunited for the Superbowl half time performance and released an album of love songs including the single “Nuclear”. A new collaboration has appeared online entitled “You’ve Changed” featuring Beyonce and Michelle on another track from Kelly’s forthcoming Talk A Good Game releasing June 18th.
Kelly Rowland is currently on tour alongside The Dream and has been announced as the latest celebrity judge to join the “X Factor” panel. She will join Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, and Paulina Rubio on the singing competition.
