Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel volunteer to help Sandy victims

Newlyweds Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel headed out to Rockaway, Queens over the weekend to help handout relief supplies to victims of Hurricane Sandy. The couple made their first public appearance since their October 19^th nuptials with Timberlake‘s longtime friend and collaborator Timbaland in tow. According to People magazine the trio spent several hours handing out supplies and blankets to local residents, who in turn took to Twitter to announce the surprise visit. Resident Jessica Nortesano Tweeted a pic of the young couple along with the Tweet, “Justin Timberlake & Jessica Bioel helping out.”

Kristi Ray, who was in Rockaway volunteering, tweeted, “Shout out to @jtimberlake & @jessicabiel for serving along side us in Rockaway & giving the kids something to talk about besides #Sandy.”

Timberlake and Biel weren’t the only celebrities on hand over the weekend. Singer John Legend also showed up to pitch a hand and encouraged his Twitter followers to do the same. “Went out to far rockaway this morning to view the aftermath of #sandy and distribute food,” he Tweeted. “Still no power out there. Keep giving. They need U.”
