Janet Jackson Secretly Weds Wissam Al Mana

Singer Janet Jackson is officially off the market. Jackson and her billionaire boyfriend Wissam Al Mana confirmed rumors that they eloped in a ceremony last year.

“The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony,” the couple said in a joint statement to “Entertainment Tonight.” “Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children’s charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy.”

The couple decided to come out and confirm their wedding because of rampant rumors that Jackson was planning a lavish wedding. Us Weekly was the first magazine to report Jackson’s engagement to Al Mana.

This is Jackson’s third marriage. She was previously married to singer James DeBarge and music video director Rene Elizondo. She also dated Atlanta hip-hop mogul Jermaine Dupri from 2002 to 2009.
