Actress Jaime Pressly has been sentenced to three years of informal probation after pleading no contest to driving drunk. Santa Monica Deputy City Attorney Melanie Skehar says Pressly’s attorney entered the plea Thursday for the former “My Name is Earl” actress.
The judge also ordered Pressly to attend a mandatory six-month alcohol education class. According to the deputy city attorney, the Department of Motor Vehicles is also requiring an ignition locking device be installed on her car.
Pressly was arrested on Jan. 5 after police say she was stopped for a traffic violation and charged with driving while having a blood alcohol content of more than .20. The legal blood alcohol limit in California is .08.
