Fox Network has announced an array of new comedy and drama series for 2013-2014. The television network will pick up five new comedies and four new drama series.
Of the comedy series, Fox picked up the single camera comedy “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” starring SNL alum Adam Samberg and Andre Braugher as mismatched set of cops. Think “The Other Guys” on steroids The series is produced by Dan Goor and Michael Schur of “Parks and Recreation”. Fox will also pick up “Dada” from “Family Guy” creator Seth McFarlane. Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi play childhood best friends who fathers move in with them. Other comedy series include “Enlisted”, about three brothers on a Florida army base, and “Us & Them”, which was adapted from the hit BBC sitcom “Gavin & Stacey”. Rounding up the comedies will be “Surviving Jack”, starring “Law and Order: SVU” Christopher Meloni as a dd in 90’s Southern California.
On the drama side, Fox ordered “Almost Human” produced by JJ Abrams, which is set 25 years in the future. “Gang Related” is a law enforcement drama that stars Ramon Rodriguez. “Rake” stars Greg Kinnear as an attorney who’s destructive personal life often gets in the way of his profession. Finally, “Sleepy Hollow” is added by Fox, which adds a sci-fi spin to the familiar tale.
Fox will announce it’s complete lineup in a presentation on Monday in New York.
