After news outlets projected that President Obama won the election, Donald Trump began tweeting “Well, back to the drawing board!”. The real estate mogul hasn’t been quiet this entire election with his political viewpoints and has used Twitter as an outlet. He posted more than 10 angry tweets, declaring “our nation is a once great nation divided” and “the world is laughing at us.”
NBC’s Brian Williams showed some of Trump’s tweets on air, saying he had “driven well past the last exit to relevance and veered into something closer to irresponsible.”
Trump responded to Williams through Twitter saying Williams “knows that I thin his newscast has become totally boring so he took a shot at me last night.” He also added, “Wouldn’t you love to have my ratings?”
Trump, while bold, deleted some of his tweets from Tuesday night that called for a revolution for the nation and falsely stating that President Obama had lost the popular vote. The “Celebrity Apprentice” star openly supported the Republican candidate Mitt Romney throughout the presidential race. Trump publicly questioned whether President Obama was born in the U.S and eligible to be president. He promised to contribute $5 million to a charity of the President’s choice if he released his college and passport records.
