Demi Lovato Fires Back at Disney Channel after Joke about Eating Disorders

It was a simple comment made by another Disney channel star that set Demi Lovato off, but none the less the comment hit home with the recent music sensation and Disney Channel prodigy.

Demi Lovato has since taken to twitter to express her discontent and anger with the poke at eating disorders, which ironically enough have had a personal meaning to her.  Lovato’s health has been improving since last year when she struggled with both physical and emotional issues that could have stopped the young rising star from reaching success, but none the less this is a good lesson for all of us.

Eating disorders are a serious medical condition and should never be taken lightly, regardless of the context or circumstances surrounding them.

The exact quote from Disney channels’ show ‘Shake It Up’ that set Demi Lovato off is below:

“I could just eat you up, well, if I ate,”
