Corbin Bleu and Laura Harrier Cast In ‘One Life To Live’

The show, which returned on Hulu on April 29, is geared to continue as if the original storyline had never ended back in 2011. Included in the new roster is High School Musical veteran Corbin Bleu and Laura, who started her career as a model.Corbin has a reoccurring role on the show as the power-hungry journalist, Jeffery King. Corbin’s character works for the a fictional newspaper called The Banner, which is described to be in the “dark ages” when it comes to technological advances. Jeffrey is hired to bring the paper into the digital age.

“Jeffery is very savvy, quick, smart and knowledgeable,” Corbin said of his character. When asked about if he and his character’s personalities intertwine Corbin explained, “You find relations with you and your character…parts of you will shine through, but to me the goal is to not have that.”

Laura plays Destiny Evans who is a young single mother. “We’re pretty similar. We’re definitely strong-willed and positive [people]. We’re kind of typical girls in our early 20s trying to make the best of what life has given us,” Laura shares.

Playing the role of a single mom has also given Laura perspective to what it may be like in reality. “I can’t imagine how it must be to have a job, go to school, be a mom and all these things,” she said. “I hope they relate when they see on the show.”

The new “OLTL” cast is also very fashion forward. “I think they’ve done a great job with giving every character a personal style. When you look at a piece you can tell who it’s for,” Laura told S2S.

“One Life To Live” will be premiering all week on Hulu, with a recap on Friday.
