Chris Brown is the latest celebrity to be a victim of the “swatting” pranks that have been shaking up Hollywood. Swatting is when pranksters call the cops and claim something bad is about to happen at someone’s home, often times it’s a celebrities home.
Authorities raced to Chris Brown’s home in the Hollywood Hills Monday afternoon after a prankster called 911 and claimed that a domestic incident was going down that involved a gun. The caller went on to say that a father and mother were having a huge fight and the father had gone to grab his gun from another room in the house. After that the prankster huge up, never saying who the home belonged too, and sent cops racing to the house.
Of course when cops got to the home they found no evidence of a domestic dispute or gun, and Chris Brown was not even home.
This is just the latest incident in the swatting saga involving unsuspecting celebrities. The most recent one happened last Friday when a prankster sent police to Kris and Bruce Jenner’s humble abode, prompting their daughter Kim to tweet “These prank calls are NOT funny.” She added “People can get arrested for this! I hope they find out who is behind this. It’s dangerous & not a joke!”
Other victims of the swatting calls include Justin Bieber, Tom Cruise, Miley Cyrus and Ashton Kutcher.
