Channing Tatum named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive

The news came as a surprise to heartthrob Channing Tatum when he found out that he had been named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, but to the rest of us the choice seemed obvious, especially after his “Magic Mike” performance.

In an interview with the magazine Channing expressed his disbelief: “My first thought was,’ya’ll are messing with me.’ I told Jenna (my wife) after we’d been in the bathtub washing our dogs because they’d gotten skunked.”

Tatum’s wife told People that the news was no surprise to her: “People know him to be fun and sexy, but they don’t know how emotionally deep and spiritually open he is. He is such an open-hearted person, what you see is what you get.”

When not starring in box office the actor enjoys reading Edgar Allen Poe, sculpts and keeping in shape. Up next for Tatum is a role as an Olympic Athlete in the film ‘Foxcatcher.’
