Beyonce held a press conference today to talk about what she plans to do on the half time show at this years Super Bowl, but she decided to start it off with a bang. Beyonce sang the national anthem loud and silenced the rumors that she lip synced because she couldn’t sing the track.
“Any questions?” she asked the room after her impressive performance.
“I am a perfectionist,” Beyonce told the room about the inaugural performance, explaining that she used “a backing track” due to not getting a chance o do a sound check and the high stakes surrounding the event. “I’m very proud of my performance,” she added.
“I practice until my feet bleed and I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra,” Beyonce said Thursday. “Due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking a risk. It was about the president and the inauguration, and I wanted to make him and my country proud, so I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry. And I’m very proud of my performance.”
Beyonce also did nothing to confirm or deny the rumors that she will be performing with her Destiny Child’s group members at the half-time show. “I can’t give you any details,” she said.
