Ben Savage reprising role for Disney’s ‘Girl Meets World’

For all of those who grew up following the love story between teenagers Cory and Topanga on “Boy Meets World,” you will be happy to know that the two have been happily married all these years and are now proud parents to a 13-year old daughter; at least that’s the premise for the upcoming Disney Channel series “Girl Meets World.”

The pilot plans to pick up 13 years after “Boy Meets World” left off and will center around Riley, the 13 year old who has yet to be cast. Both Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are excited to revisit their former roles. Fishel took to her Tumblr page this week to say: “First of all, let me say that you, the fans of Boy Meets World, have been awesome. That word is often used incorrectly by people, including myself, on a daily basis but you have truly been awe inspiring. You, yes, even YOU, are the reason that Girl Meets World WILL BE MADE.”
