Avril Lavigne Marries Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger

Canadian rocker Avril Lavigne has wedded once again. The singer married Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger on July 1, 2013, Canada Day at that! Lavigne added a punk rock flair to her big day.

According to Hello! magazine, Lavigne wore a black Monique Lhuillie gown as she walked down the aisle for the second time. The pair celebrated their nuptials at the Chateau de la Napoule medieval castle near Cannes, France. “I wanted to make sure it’s a crazy vacation and an experience of a lifetime for our guests,” the rocker told the magazine. She wanted her big day to be “over the top”.

“I’m obsessed with castles and I love French decor and goth ..I found this castle in France and we visited it and it was perfect,” she told Hello! about her themed wedding. Lavigne and the Nickelback frontman wedded in front of 110 guests. “When you’ve got that ring on your finger that you get to look at every single day, and you get to call that other person husband or wife, it’s a really special feeling,” said Kroeger of the big day.

The pair began dating in February of 2012. Both from Canada, the two had many similarities including their love for music. Kroeger proposed in August with a 14-carat diamond ring.
