Amanda Seyfried is taking on a new role as the porn star turned advocate, Linda Lovelace in the new film Lovelace. The true-life story chronicles pornstar Linda Lovelace as she helped maninstreamed the industry to when the star shamefully changed and became an anti-porn crusader under real name, Linda Boreman.
Still images of the film was released, showing Seyfried on her knees such as that the 1970’s Deep Throat famed, hinting that the film is highly provocative. The film will be premiering next week at the Sundance Film Festival this year in Park City, Utah.
Lovelace is directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffry Friedman, who opened the festival two years ago with another story of counter-culture, Howl about the obscenity trial surrounding Allen Ginsberg iconic poem.
Sharon Stone, Juno Temple, Wes Bentley, Hank Azaria, Robert Patrick, Bobby Cannavale, and Chris Noth all co-star in Lovelace. Peter Sarsgaard stars as Lovelace’s husband, Chuck Traynor, the man she later accuses of abuse and who coerced her into the porn world. James Franco will appear in the film as Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, and Adam Brody as fellow porn actor Harry Reems. The Sundance Film Festival begins Janaury 17 and runs until January 25.
