The Ken Marino dating parody show is making its way from the Internet to the boob tube. Burning Love makes its debut on E! on Monday, February 25 at 10 pm.
The web series follows a 34 year old fireman played by Marino who is searching for love. Season 1 will air on E! with appearances by Kristen Bell, Adam Scott, Malin Akerman, and Michael Ian Black. Christine Taylor and Jennifer Aniston make a guest appearance as well. The series is executive produced by Ben Stiller.
Rumor has it that season 2 will follow Mark’s castoff Julie Gristlewhite played by June Diane Raphael on her journey to find love. The show premieres on February 14 on Yahoo! Screen. Some of the bachelors will be played by Adam Scott, Jerry O’Connell, Michael Cera, Adam Brody, Colin Hanks, Joe Lo Truglio, Ryan Hansen, Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer, Nick Kroll, Nick Thune, Martin Starr, and Kumail Nanjiani.
Burning Love pokes fun at reality shows such as “The Bachelor”. Marino admits that “The Bachelor” is a guilty pleasure of him and his wife Erica Oyama Marino, who wrote Burning Love. “I want to say we watch it ironically, but I don’t know at this point.” Ben Stiller makes a small appearance in the show as the winner of the previous season, giving tips to Marino’s character.
Burning Love premieres on E! on February 25, while the second season premieres online on Yahoo! Screen on February 14th.
